The winery is located in the municipality of Ratsch an der Weinstraße in the Austrian wine growing region of Southern Styria. The philosophy of the owner is aptly outlined on his website as follows: "We drink as much as we can, we sell the rest. Says the Irish about their whiskey. Ewald Zweytick has a similar view. He makes the wine that tastes good to him. And the rest he sells. It can be that simple sometimes." The vineyards cover 11 hectares in the areas Pfarrweingarten, Stermetzberg and Sulz. They are planted with the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller(Muscat Blanc), Weißburgunder(Pinot Blanc), Grauburgunder(Pinot Gris), Welschriesling and Morillon(Chardonnay). Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in steel tanks, large wooden barrels or barriques. The Sauvignon Blanc "Heaven's Door" is vinified by intracellular fermentation(Macération carbonique) and aged in barriques for up to 24 months. Other premium wines are "Don't Cry" (Sauvignon Blanc), "November Rain" (Morillon) and "Tosca" (Pinot Gris), all of which are aged in barrique. In years with suitable weather conditions, sweet wines such as Trockenbeerenauslese are also produced.
