The winery is located in the municipality of Kurtatsch/Cortaccia in the Italian wine-growing area of South Tyrol ( Trentino-Alto Adige region). It is run by Edmund Pomella and his family, the third generation of the family to do so. Wine tastings, cellar tours and herb tours in the vineyard with herb tastings are offered.

The vineyards cover 0.6 hectares and are planted exclusively with PIWI varieties. The white wine varieties Bronner, Muscaris, Johanniter and Souvignier Gris, as well as the red wine varieties Cabernet Cortis and Prior are cultivated. Some of the vines are over 100 years old. These are cultivated using the traditional pergola training system, which ensures good soil shading. The vines were grafted with scions of robust PIWI varieties. For this reason, there is no need for chemical pesticides.
Depending on the desired wine type, the wines are matured in stainless steel tanks, barriques or tonneaux barrels. The cellar work is based on non-invasive principles (as much as necessary, as little as possible). No fining agents are used and some of the wines are bottled without filtration. All work from cellaring to bottling and labelling is done by hand.

The estate's premium wines are the "Cuvée Weiß" made from Bronner and Souvignier Gris, which is fermented in barrique barrels and then matured for up to 10 months, and the single-varietal red wine "Terranima" made from Cabernet Cortis, which is mash-fermented in old concrete barrels and matured for 10 months in barrique or tonneaux barrels. The winery is a member of the associations Die Weingüter Südtirols and PIWI International.
