2006 Syrah trocken Reserve, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Translate to English Rauchige, speckige und etwas röstige Nase mit schwarzbeerigen Noten, etwas Fleisch und Kirschen sowie erdigen und pfeffrigen Noten. Relativ schlank wirkende, herbe Frucht mit viel bitterlichem Holz, tabakige Noten, etwas sandiges, deutlich trocknendes Tannin, erdige Noten, ganz leicht verschwommene Konturen, herber, nachtrocknender, holzbetonter Abgang. Hat sich schneller entwickelt als erwartet und kommt gegen das Holz inzwischen nur noch mit Mühe an.

Editor note: Cool nose, minty and herbaceous, compact cherry and red berry fruit, peppery and mineral notes, light roasted notes. More cool mineral notes on the palate, slightly tart blackberries and red currants, light salty and herbaceous notes, persistent, hint of cherries, some peppery spice and bell peppers, still very restrained, elegant varietal character, has character and potential, integrated tannins, not too powerful, almost playful in spite of its full body, very good finish.
