2014 Spätburgunder trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Partly dried vegetal notes on the nose, prominent bacon, light toasted notes, cereals, herbs and restrained berry fruit. Fairly tart fruit on the palate, yeasty, dried vegetal and herbaceous notes, more promkinent bacon, light acid bite, fairly prominent fine, sandy, fairly well integrated tannins, fairly persistent, chalky and salty notes, surprisingly cool considering the high level of alcohol, very slightly astringent on a good to very good finish.
