Tart, distinctly earthy-vegetable, slightly smoky nose with pomaceous fruit and citrus aromas, some stone fruit and nutty barrel notes. Ripe, quite firm fruit with nutty, smoky, slightly caramel and buttery flavours, fine acidity, grip of crumbly-sandy, very slightly drying tannins, good persistence, certain warmth, a little yellow spice, salty-chalky notes in the background, smoky wood tones, very good, quite firm finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2027+. What our ratings mean
