2006 Kremstal Chardonnay Alte Reben, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Soft nose with melon, vegetal notes, elegant creamy caramel. More caramel on the palate, slightly sweet and gentle creamy fruit, preserved pears and apple sauce, hint of cinnamon and herbs in the background, light mineral traces, alcohol and integrated acidity provide good balance, attractive finish. Very appealing, unusual production method, but it suits the soil.
