2017 Vulkanland Steiermark Sauvignon Blanc trocken STK Klassik, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Fairly restrained, very slightly muted, cool, fairly firm nose, vegetal and herbaceous notes, hint of mushrooms, ripe yellow fruit, yeasty notes, still very slightly reductive. Straightforward, fairly tart fruit on the palate, dried vegetal traces, noticeable acid bite, integrated tannins, still very slightly astringent, yeasty notes, light nutty and delicate floral aromas in the background, hint of black berries, good substance and persistence, still rather closed, some almonds, salty and earthy traces, slightly muted on a good to very good, delicately sweetish and creamy finish.
