2013 Vulkanland Steiermark Kapfenstein Blauer Zweigelt trocken STK, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Clear, polished, slightly tart nose, cherry fruit, herbaceous notes, hint of tobacco, light nutty oak, peppery traces. Clear, polished, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, fairly cool, more light nutty, spicy oak, light acid bite, fine, youthful tannins, fairly persistent, herbaceous traces, mineral traces in the background, some bite, hint of tobacco again on a good to very good tart, juicy finish. Very well made.
