2009 Vulkanland Steiermark Blauer Zweigelt trocken Klassik, STK, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Mixed berries and cherries on the nose, prominent dried vegetal notes, delicate spice, some old oak. Firm cherry and berry fruit on the palate, vegetal and earthy notes, prominent, slightly astringent tannins, touch of spicy oak in the background, fairly polished and slightly persistent, peppery and mineral traces, slightly astringent still on a good finish.

Best to drink: Mitte 2012 bis 2015. What our ratings mean
