2005 Vulkanland Steiermark Grauburgunder trocken Reserve, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Lots of oak on the nose, waxy notes, raisins and dried as well as candied pomaceous fruit. Mature, slightly waxy fruit on the palate, too, very creamy and sweetish, elegant acidity, full-bodied, fairly prominent oak makes the wine a little tired, smoky notes, quite good persistence, some slightly astringent oak tannins, quite a good finish.
