Editor note: Earthy notes on the nose, dried vegetal notes, prominent bacon, mixed berries, toasted notes, hint of tobacco. Ripe, slightly creamy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, ethereal, spicy oak, fairly fine and veryslightlyastringent tannins, medium body, persistent, herbaceous traces, hint of coffee, noticeable warm alcohol, not particularly deep, prominent perfumed oak and more preserved fruit on a good to very good finish.
Best to drink: To 2022+

City on the Rhine in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate with about 25,000 inhabitants at the mouth of the Nahe river into the Rhine at the foot of the Rochusberg. Even before the Romans, there was a Celtic settlement called Bingium here because of its convenient location. Already the Romans were cultivating wine here at the turn of the century.
