2020 Brut Nature Blanc de Noir, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Vegetal, somewhat nutty and distinctly mushroomy nose with pome fruit aromas, yeasty notes, some hay, smoke and tobacco. Smoky, yeasty and nutty on the palate too, somewhat melting, yet very dry fruit with tobacco flavours, mushrooms and a little root vegetables, quite fine, slightly creamy mousse, good persistence, bread-like notes, a hint of dark berries, very good finish with pome fruit and relatively fine, somewhat tobacco-like spice.
