The winery is located in the municipality of Nordheim (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of
Franconia. It was founded in 1985 by Waldemar and Heidi Braun. Son Patrick is responsible for the cellar. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in the individual vineyards Kirchberg (Volkach),
Rosenberg (Sommerach),
Lump (Escherndorf), as well as Kreuzberg and
Vögelein (Nordheim) with the white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Bacchus, Riesling, Kerner, Scheurebe, Rieslaner, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, as well as the red wine varieties Domina, Pinot Noir and Schwarzriesling
The vines are cultivated according to the guidelines of natural viticulture. Quality criteria are low yields, selective harvesting, gentle processing of the grapes, intensive pre-clarification of the must and controlled fermentation. The white wines are matured in stainless steel, the red wines in large wooden barrels as well as in barrique. In suitable years, noble sweet Beerenauslese and ice wines are also vinified. All wines are bottled with screw caps. Sparkling wines, bottle-fermented sparkling wines and noble brandies (marc, yeast, wine, apple, pear) are also produced
