Firm, somewhat smoky, nutty and planty to herbal aroma of predominantly dark berries with nuances reminiscent of paprika, pepper and leather. Tart fruit with some bitter chocolate and wood flavours, a hint of grilled vegetables and hints of lamb chops, crumbly yet firm tannins, good persistence, slightly ashy tones in the background, some smoked salt, roasted barrel tones, very good, only slightly drying finish with black fruit, pepper and smoky wood.

Best to drink: 2025-2028+. What our ratings mean
