Clear, relatively polished cherry nose with aromas of mixed berries, some herbs, hints of tobacco, undergrowth, leather, tree bark, smoke and citrus zest. Tart, still somewhat hidden fruit, quite clearly roasted wood flavours, coffee and also chocolate, fine sandy, youthful tannin, hints of meaty and peppery notes, good persistence and a certain power, sooty hints, a little salt, very good, relatively firm, still somewhat wood-accentuated finish.
