2020 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Gaisriegl Sauvignon Blanc trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

firm and quite deep, clearly planty to herbal and a hint of floral scent with restrained white and yellow fruit aromas, hints of black berries, a hint of smoke, a little tree bark and clear minerality. Cool, tart, fine-juicy, rather quiet fruit, very fine acidity and some grip, fresh planty tones, again present, predominantly light minerality, stony notes, a hint of smoke in the background, good depth, elegant style, quite complex, very good, firm and cool, tart finish with a hint of spring onions.
