2019 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Mellacher Sauvignon Blanc trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Rather restrained, cool, polished and fresh, quite deep, somewhat almondy and herbaceous aroma of light stone fruit with a hint of fennel and hints of minerality. Cool and taut in the mouth, with hints of citrus fruits and red berries as well as slightly grassy tones, lively acidity, persistent on the palate, white almonds and hints of capers in the background, light tannic grip, salty and chalky minerality, again a little dark berries, some depth, very good, fine-juicy, rather tart finish
