2020 Riesling Landwein "Fuchs", Rhine/Rhein, Germany

Fairly firm, somewhat nutty and vegetal to herbaceous nose, yellow fruit, light phenolic notes, hint of dried mushrooms and bacon. Relatively tart, firm citrus fruit with a hint of yellow spice, lively yet fine acidity, noticeable tannic grip, some persistence, barrel wood in the background, salty and chalky tones, with air also root vegetables, hints of fennel and citrus zest on a good to very good, only slightly drying finish.
