Weingut Rücker

The winery is located in the municipality of Unterretzbach near Retz in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Weinviertel. Guest rooms are attached. The farm is owned by Edmund and Ulrike Rücker, supported by daughter Elisabeth. The vineyards cover 19 hectares of vines in, for example, the Bergsatz and Halblehen vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Frühroter Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauer Portugieser, Blauburgunder, Blauburger, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The premium wines include, for example, Weinviertel DAC (Grüner Veltliner), Riesling Urkristall, Charie Barrique and the red wine Cuvée Retzbach (Merlot, Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon). Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. The winery is a member of the winegrowers' association Weingüter Retzer Land
