2021 Bürgstadt Hundsrück Spätburgunder VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm, deep and complex, noble aroma of more red than black berries with nutty and dried-herbal nuances, a little dried flowers, meat juice and peppery-ethereal nuances. Taut, almost cool, lively, juicy fruit, grip of ripe tannin and fine acidity, persistent on the palate, complex, partly ethereal spice, slightly smoky and nutty wood tones with a hint of cocoa, clear, salty minerality, also chalky nuances, good depth, has freshness, yet very firm structure, very good, firm, juicy and finely spicy finish with tension.
