2019 Klingenberg Schloßberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Clear, deep and polished, fine, aromatically fanning nose of ripe red and black berries with floral, somewhat tobacco and peppery nuances. Taut, tangy, clear black and red fruit with peppery, slightly smoky and nutty aromas, a hint of dry herbs, youthful, yet ripe and mellow, very fine tannins, a little bitter chocolate and coffee in the background, persistent, good depth, has grip, still undeveloped, very good, juicy, spicy, also a little chocolaty-woody finish with grip, but also melting and some warmth as well as ethereal notes.
