2015 Bürgstadt Centgrafenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Hint of mushrooms and some smoked bacon on the nose, red berries, dried flowers, very light animal notes, nutty, earthy and vegetal traces. Red fruit on the palate,light toasted and nutty notes, some dark chocolate, prominent earthy notes, touch of root vegetables, fairly prominent tannins, still slightly astringent, grilled red bell peppers in the background, persistent, gripping, still slightly brittle,, full-bodied, some depth, some peppery notes and cocoa on a very good tart, juicy, salty finish with a hint of smoked bacon.
