2008 Süd-Steiermark Ried Trautenburg Pinot Gris trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Slightly muted nose, apples and physalis, delicate nutty and some earthy notes. Fairly prominent preserved fruit on the palate, sweetish and rounded, ripe apples and some star fruit, delicately bitter nutty notes and herbs, appears lighter than it is, polished acidity, has some substance and clearly shows its origin, still slightly rough and bitter on an otherwise good to very good finish.
