The winery is located in the municipality of Göttlesbrunn in the Carnuntum wine-growing region of Lower Austria. It is managed by Philipp Grassl. The vineyards cover 25 hectares of vineyards in the Aubühel, Bärnreiser, Kräften, Neuberg, Rosenberg and Schüttenberg vineyards. They are 80% planted with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Merlot, Blaufränkisch, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Since the 2015 vintage, the vineyards have been cultivated according to the rules of organic viticulture.
The white wines and red wines vinified in the classic style are fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks or in large wooden barrels. The red wines are vinified without additives (yeasts, enzymes) and without fining, with little use of sulphur. The premium red wines are fermented spontaneously in wooden fermenters, partly with the vineyard's own yeasts, and aged in French barriques. These include the red wine cuvées Bärnreiser (Zweigelt, Merlot, CS, Blaufränkisch) and Rubin Carnuntum (Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch) as well as the single-varietal red wine St. Laurent Alte Reben. Around 150,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. The winery is a member of the Rubin Carnuntum Weingüter and Traditionsweingüter Österreich associations.
