2022 Silvaner "KNIEBRECHER", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Deep and complex, very slightly warm, yellow-spicy and slightly smoky aroma of ripe yellow fruit with nutty and slightly vegetal flavours, some light tobacco and earthy-mineral tones. Taut, tart, juicy, extremely concentrated fruit with very fine acidity and plenty of grip from ripe tannins, deep, multi-layered and persistent on the palate, hints of dark spice and smoke, compact mineral foundation that makes the wine seem almost cold, despite its ripeness and power it also has freshness and downright subtle flavours, has no heaviness whatsoever, picks up enormously at the back, concentrated, multi-layered and enormously mineral finish, with cool, noble juice, grip and bite. A masterpiece
