2018 Ahrweiler Rosenthal Spätburgunder trocken "Grand Max", Ahr, Germany

Smoky to sooty, dried-vegetable and a little floral aroma of mixed berries and cherries with earthy-vegetable notes. Relatively dark, sweetish fruit, some acid bite, youthful tannin, herbal and dried-vegetable, almost a little potatoy notes, some sandy and drying tannin, noticeable alcohol, some persistence, spicy and herbal tones, rather loud character, good to very good, slightly muted finish
