2021 Souvignier Gris trocken PiWi, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Slightly smoky, somewhat nutty, vegetal to herbal and hints of mushroomy pome and stone fruit scents with a hint of tobacco. Still youthful, delicately yeasty and not quite dry fruit with herbal-spicy aromas, lively, almost present acidity and a hint of carbonic acid, has some grip and persistence, a hint of lemon butter and barrel wood, salty minerality, very good finish.
