2004 Süd-Steiermark Blauer Wildbacher trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Vegetal nose, cranberries, cool roasted notes, some green wood, hint of chocolate. Fairly light-bodied and cool again on the palate, polished, delicately tart preserved mixed berry fruit, hint of rum punch, dark chocolate, noticeable but already well integrated oak, fine-grained, very slightly astringent tanniins, unusual style, well made in a modern style, some sooty notes on a good finish.
