2016 Nierstein Oelberg Riesling trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Fairly tart nose, light nutty notes, hint of bacon, yellow fruit, dried herbs, hint of black berries, smoky traces, prominent dark mineral notes. Ripe, creamy, fairly tranquil fruit on the palate, light nutty and earthy aromas, very elegant ripe acidity, some integrated tannins, warm and again dark on the palate, good substance and persistence, noticeable alcohol, becomes more buttery with aeration, earthy notes, some tobacco, light grip, warm, dark and spicy on a good to very good finish.
