2009 Wagram Ried Brunnthal Sauvignon Blanc trocken Lagenreserve, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Pomaceous fruit and some exotic fruit on the nose, melon, partly sweetish herbaceous notes, sugar candy and caramel, nutty, spicy oak. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate, prominent oak, smoky and roasted notes, prominent herbaceous notes, some elderberry and bell pepper, elegant, lively acidity, fairly prominent mineral notes, firm, still undeveloped, full-bodied, persistent and quite deep, noticeable but integrated alcohol, becomes more harmonious with aeration, very good finish. Needs time to mature.
