1999 Wagram Blauer Zweigelt trocken Gigama, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Clean nose with light mineral notes, dark berries, preserved cherries and some plums, smoky and roasted notes. Juicy with some signs of maturity, clean, pure fruit and well integrated, dark roasted and smoky oak, sweetish and creamy on the palate, medium-fine oak tannins, a little astringent towards the end, good persistence and depth, excellent balance, probaly at its peak now, good long finish.
