2018 Thermenregion Ried Badener Berg trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm and quite deep scent of ripe black berries with herbal aromas, pepper, moderate, tart wood spice, a little smoke and hints of paprika. Tight, tart and juicy dark fruit, smoky and toasty wood spice, fine sandy, quite present, youthful tannin, dense and persistent on the palate, peppery flavours, some pepper and dry herbs, plenty of power and noticeable alcohol, but also cooling elements, persistent, some depth, very good, tart and juicy, also smoky and relatively alcoholic finish.
