2017 Ried Schafleiten Syrah trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Smoky to slightly bacony, a little dried-vegetable and hinted at peppery aroma of more black than red berries with a hint of dried tomatoes. Somewhat smoky and bacony in the mouth as well, rather tart fruit, dried-vegetable to tobacco aromas, peppery tones, fine sandy tannin, nutty hints, some roasting, mineral nuances, not eternally deep, but very well made, very good finish.
