2009 trocken Pannobile, Burgenland, Austria

Somewhat warm, nutty to woody and a little spicy aroma of ripe predominantly black berries and a little cherry with dried vegetal and earthy tones. Ripe, developed dark fruit, again relatively warm, clear, somewhat covering wood and a trace drying tannin, has power and melting, dried-vegetable tones in the background, smoke and some bacon, good to very good, tart, again slightly drying finish

Editor note: Slightly tart nose, preserved sour cherries and predominantly black berries, elegant herbs and spices, light mineral notes in the background, slightly spicy old oak. Firm and juicy on the palate, youthful fruit, light spicy oak, light toasted notes, more herbaceous and vegetal notes, earthy and mineral notes, fairly prominent, youthful tannins, good substancer and persistence, has some depth, tart spice and some chocolate on a good juicy finish.
