2007 Ried Heideboden Zweigelt trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Red berries on the nose, green herbaceous and earthy notes, very light burnt notes. Straightforward style, compact red berry fruit on the palate, light earthy and herbaceous notes again, firm, slightly rustic style, integrated tannins, medium body, good backbone, mineral notes, quite a good finish.

Editor note: Partly candied red berries and cherries on the nose, light stalky notes, delicate hint of chocolate. Uncomplicated style, elegant, tart, polished red berry fruit on the palate, gentle vegetal notes, well made, slightly astringent tannins, shows its origins and has vintage character, not particularly deep or complex, but very clean and pleasant to drink, attractive finish.
