2019 Blaufränkisch trocken "Perwolff", Burgenland, Austria

Cool, firm and deep, very fresh and youthful aroma of cherries and more black than red berries with fine herbal and peppery aromas, some meat, hints of root vegetables and juniper. Taut, tart, juicy, still completely undeveloped fruit, very fine, present tannin, herbal notes, pepper, chalk and plenty of salt, persistent on the palate, with power but without any heaviness, ethereal nuances in the background, a little meat, has tension, very firm, almost cold-seeming core, hints of allspice, quite complex, elegant style, very good to long, again multi-layered, bright and rather cool finish with draught. Definitely needs time.
