Almost cool, tart, firm and deep, somewhat nutty and tobacco-woody aroma of ripe black berries with aromas of dried partly Mediterranean herbs, some pepper and a hint of tobacco. Ripe, very tightly knit black fruit with some acid bite and present, still undeveloped tannins, smoky, toasty wood spice, some dark chocolate and coffee grounds, dark ethereal spice on the palate, herbal notes, a little leather, Cubeb pepper and a lot of salt, good depth, still very young, has plenty of power but again also cooling elements, gains freshness and finesse once more with air, very good, firm finish with grip, ripe dark juice and a lot of spice.

Best to drink: 2026-2040+. What our ratings mean
