2005 Cabernet Sauvignon trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Compact nose, preserved black berries and some malted notes, roasted oak, herbaceous and some vegetal notes. Tart dark fruit on the palate, sooty roasted oak, fairly prominent, fine sandy and slightly dry tannins, again very compact, very elegant acidity, some spice, persistent, very full-bodied, still largely undeveloped, good depth, still slightly too monolithic, mineral notes, very good finish. Needs time to mature.
