2022 Appenheim Eselspfad Spätburgunder VDP.Erste Lage trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Funky, herbal, smoky aroma of more black than red berries with a distinct dry herb spice, a hint of bacon and forest mushrooms. Ripe, firm and quite dense, juicy, clear fruit, smoky, slightly nutty and subtly bittersweet chocolate notes, lively acidity, youthful, quite polished tannin, juniper-etheric nuances, in the background salt, still very young, possesses freshness, very good, taut, bitter-juicy and again etheric finish.
