2021 Chardonnay trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Cool, firm, slightly nutty, somewhat vegetal to dried herbaceous and a hint of smoky, bacon flavour of yellow fruit with a hint of broccoli, olives and pepper. Polished, juicy citrus fruit with delicately creamy and a hint of dark berries, lively acidity, has a grip of ripe tannins, good substance and persistence, salty minerality, slightly nutty wood tones in the background, a hint of butter and hints of lavender on a very good, again mineral finish.
