2021 Chardonnay trocken Réserve, Rheinhessen, Germany

Relatively cool, firm, somewhat nutty, asparagus-vegetable, dried herbaceous and hint of mushroom on the nose, yellow fruit with a hint of vanilla, buttered toast and distinct artichokes and celery. Polished, firm, tart, juicy fruit with delicately creamy, lively acidity, has a grip of ripe tannin, quite good substance and persistence, a certain depth, lemon verbena, tobacco and red berries in the background, a hint of mussel shells and seaweed, salty minerality, very good, dries very slightly with air.
