2022 Nierstein Hipping Riesling VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm and deep, cool and precise, fine-vegetable aroma reminiscent of pak choi and Thai basil with relatively restrained, bright yellow-fruity aromas, smoky nuances, kimchi and a hint of black berries. Ripe, tart, again restrained and relatively cool fruit with vegetal spice, smoky and black berry nuances on the palate, ripe phenolic grip, very fine acidity, persistent on the palate, almost peppery spice, some lemon zest, stony minerality, rather demanding character, full of tension, long, firm, tart, decidedly mineral finish, again with a lot of grip.
