Editor note: Very slightly muted nose, light vegetal and herbaceous notes, light floral traces, partly candied citrus and stone fruit, mineral traces. Clear, very sweet, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, lively, elegant acidity, vegetal and delicate floral notes, light earthy and mineral notes in the backgorund, good substance and persistence, more prominent gripping mineral notes on a very good, firm, juicy finish.
Best to drink: Mid-2019-2038+

The eponymous municipality of Bernkastel-Kues with a population of around 8,000 is located on the Middle Moselle in the district of Bernkastel-Wittrich, about 50 kilometres from Trier in the federal state of Rheinald-Pfalz.
