2018 Escherndorf Fürstenberg Spätburgunder VDP.Erste Lage trocken "S", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Slightly smoky and hinted at bacon aroma of ripe red and also black berries with a little dried herbs, hints of juniper, sesame and beetroot. Clear, ripe, juicy fruit with nutty and smoky wood spice, fine tannins and some bite, a little dried mushrooms in the background, medium power and some melting, again hints of beetroot, a touch of bread spices, very good, quite firm, juicy and spicy finish with grip.
