2018 Eußenheim First Spätburgunder trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Somewhat developed, smoky, mushroomy and earthy-vegetable nose with red and black berry aromas and very slightly sooty barrel notes. Ripe fruit with present, smoky-roasty and again also slightly bitter-sooty wood, fine sandy, very slightly drying tannin, certain power and warmth, good persistence, nutty tones, also earthy and rooty tones, again mushrooms, plus coffee and chocolate, good to very good, warm finish.
