2020 Michelbach Chardonnay VDP.Ortswein trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Smoky citrus nose with pome and stone fruit notes, yeast, celery, some peanut and hints of toastiness, buttery traces and a hint of tobacco. Ripe, juicy, tart fruit, smoky and delicately toasty tones, nutty aromas, some yeast, egg white and floral nuances, quite lively acidity, grip of ripe tannin, persistent, still undeveloped, mineral in the background, some depth, very good, firm finish with bite. Needs to mature a little more.
