2018 Michelbach Spätburgunder VDP.Ortswein trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Clear, somewhat herbaceous, mushroomy, delicately nutty and hints of smoky aromas of predominantly red berries and a little cherry with a hint of pepper, mustard seed, rosemary and mint. Straight, juicy fruit with nutty wood aromas, a hint of pepper and cocoa, ripe, fine sandy tannin, good persistence, yellow-spicy aromas in the background and nuances reminiscent of marzipan, salty-mineral tones, very good, juicy and somewhat grippy finish.
