2018 Michelbach Apostelgarten Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Somewhat vegetal and a little petrol fragrance with yellow fruity aromas, vegetal and floral nuances, hints of yellow spice and a hint of wax. Ripe, bright, somewhat sweetish fruit, vegetal tones, a little exoticism in the background, herbal notes and floral hints, fine acidity, some grip, red-fruity flavours, minerality, wasabi and yellow spice in the background, very good, somewhat sweet and at the same time a little drying finish. Unfortunately cannot quite keep its youthful form.

Editor note: Firm and quite deep, slightly dried vegetal scent with rather calm yellow fruity aromas as well as floral, herbal and clearly mineral notes. Again firm, juicy, not quite dry fruit, lively acidity and touch of ripe tannin, dried vegetable aromas, persistent, good substance and certain depth, has power, a hint of red berries in the background, very good, sweet, lemon-juicy and mineral finish with dried vegetable and floral nuances
