2021 Hatzenport Stolzenberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs, Mosel, Germany

Firm and quite deep, slightly fennel-like and yellow-spicy aroma with restrained dried-yellow-fruity aromas, a little liquorice, chanterelles, saffron, maple and dried-floral nuances. Melting fruit with tones reminiscent of maple and honey, calm acidity, mellow tannin, nutty-buttery hints on the palate, good persistence and substance, yellow-spicy tones, slightly vegetal in the background, certain phenolic, delicate mushroom tones, relatively much salt, very good, again somewhat warm and sweet finish reminiscent of turmeric and hints of cubeb pepper.
