2022 Scheurebe trocken "mystique", Rheinhessen, Germany

Slightly cloudy, rather pale golden yellow colour. Rooty and yeasty, even a hint of stalky nose with citrus aromas, some stone fruit, leek and mushrooms. Relatively cool, tart yellow fruit with clear vegetal to vegetable notes, yellow spice and almondy-nutty tones, yeast again, clear, largely crumbly tannin, quite lively acidity and a certain amount of carbonic acid, a hint of egg in the background, a hint of curry, mushrooms again, slightly muted on the otherwise good finish. Becomes somewhat juicier and more harmonious with air.
